I paint mainly in egg tempera because I love the brilliant colours and the vibrant effect it produces. This is an old method of painting that was used by the ancient Egyptians and Greeks, and was very popular during the Italian Renaissance. Egg tempera paintings are very enduring; they don't fade or tarnish over time as many other mediums do, such as oils.
